We participated in a presentation at the CTBUH conference in Singapore.

La semana pasada ha tenido lugar en Singapur la conferencia organizada por el CTBUH “humanizing High Density”, y como los representantes de España, hemos atendido y además hemos sido los moderadores de una mesa redonda “Best Tall Building by Height”

De los 6 días de conferencias sacamos varias conclusiones y es que la sostenibilidad y los criterios ESG siguen estando entre las prioridades de los grandes promotores e inversores en inmobiliario de edificaciones en altura, la rehabilitación es necesaria para dotar a las ciudades de zonas activas, actuales que sirven al ciudadano. La biofilia entra en las ciudades porque el ser humano necesita del contacto con la naturaleza, y la ciudad ya no es una jungla de asfalto. La flexibilidad aparece por todos lados: en los usos y en los espacios; y la construcción en altura es una solución para las ciudades llenas de servicios en poca superficie, lo que facilita la accesibilidad a servicios y actividades.

Muy contentos de haber reconectado con mucha gente, y de haber compartido tanto.

With the United Nations projecting urbanization of nearly 70 percent by 2050, we must ensure that cities are places where people can not only live, but also thrive.

Transportation, public and cultural institutions, open spaces, commercial enterprises and other comprehensive infrastructure must be considered holistically and adapted in a comprehensive and equitable manner for positive and sustainable outcomes. Consequently, tall buildings, the natural world and the diverse people and communities that inhabit them must be integrated into the urban fabric as never before.

Humanizing High Density: People, Nature and the Urban Realm will promote the fundamental premise that high-density urbanization can support healthy living, working, civic and social engagement.

It will examine livability issues in the current discourse on cities of the future and explore solutions for:

• Density habitable forms
• Fair housing
• Create better social spaces
• Finding balance with nature
• Reducing carbon emissions
• Mitigating the effects of climate change
• Achieve a balance in development that is appropriate to local environmental and cultural conditions.
