Sustainable housing in the Ensanche de Vallecas. Solar control and ventilation facilitate user comfort while limiting energy consumption.

Project carried out within the Sunrise environmental architecture program promoted by the EMVS.

The building is designed with an exterior insulation system, with facades differentiated according to their orientation and large ventilation chimneys to promote natural ventilation of the rooms.

The movable louvers allow the control of direct solar radiation, preventing overheating of the interior during the hottest months. The ventilation chimneys are connected to ducts that run through the building from the first floors to the roof and, by means of adjustable louvers, allow natural ventilation of the rooms.

Evaporative cooling systems were used in this building.
