There are very few buildings in Spain, and even fewer office buildings that are more than five years old, that were originally conceived as environmental buildings.

Perhaps the most unique feature of the Sanitas Building is that it has an architecture that from the very first moment stood out for its quality and innovative image. This is because it was designed and conceived based on sustainable, environmental and energy criteria that are being defined internationally and it is for this reason that it was selected among the projects presented at the international conference in Oslo “Green Building Challenge 2002” within the representation led by the Ministry of Public Works and the Higher Council of Architects’ Associations of Spain.

From the very beginning of the project, the building was designed with maintenance in mind and was provided with a data center that centralized the building’s “intelligence” and all its data in order to optimize the building not only from a usage point of view, but also from an energy point of view, which was the only way to achieve the desired environmental benefits.

  • Madrid’s first environmentally friendly building.
  • The building’s architectural form optimizes the exchange of energy with the outside.
  • The interior courtyard is tree-lined and facilitates the use of the open staircase.
