Calle Jorge Juan 53

JORGE JUAN 53 is an action of recovery of the block courtyard. It is a residential performance of 6 dwellings on 8 floors, plus 6 basements for parking. The building is located on a plot where there was a small industrial facility that comprised the center of the block and a narrow front to Jorge Juan street, the proposal returns to this area of Madrid the landscaped courtyard, adding value to all neighboring buildings whose homes now overlook a quiet Mediterranean garden.

The concept of the building takes advantage of the restrictions of the regulations and the pre-existing conditions to create a unique environment in the Salamanca neighborhood, introducing nature into what was previously nothing more than a set of industrial buildings inside the block, and completing the silhouette of Jorge Juan Street with a discreet but emphatic presence, elegant and absolutely contemporary aesthetics in which, thanks to the transparency of the different planes, the garden overlooks Jorge Juan Street.

The excellent use of the plot conditions, the careful choice of highly innovative materials in accordance with Grosvenor’s quality standards, the execution of innovative on-site solutions and the firm commitment to the BREEAM seal, which includes the selection of sustainable finishes and solutions, together with the flexibility of the space and natural light, are highlights of the design.
