The Castellana 85 building project, for , consists of the replacement of an existing office building, located on the east fa莽ade of Azca, facing Paseo de la Castellana, in the prime CBD area of Madrid. The building has become Accenture’s聽headquarters in Spain. It has also been certified LEED Gold, WELL Gold, Wiredscore Platinum and AIS. The project comprises the comprehensive remodeling of the 9 floors of the upper body of the building (office body), the first floor, and the parking floors. The office building is adapted to current needs, resolving the regulatory deficiencies of the previous state, making it evolve into a new icon in the main artery of Madrid. The existing facade is replaced by an active modular facade, which improves the interior comfort of the office areas, maintaining the temperature of the interior glass face with that of the interior of the floor, the blinds located in the chamber of the facade, automatically oriented according to the solar incidence ensure the correct light level at any time of day. These in turn give a homogeneous appearance to the entire facade. The facade is conceived as large blocks of glass displaced from each other, facilitating the reading of it, where the corners of the building play a crucial role, giving it the appearance of a carved prism. Access to the building from the first floor is enhanced with a triple-height entrance, making it more visible to the pedestrian, linking the high body of the building’s offices with its access. Due to its position next to a BIC building, special care is taken to conceal rooftop installations and landscaped spaces on the terrace of floor 03.
